Vegetarians love this recipe and the great thing is that you can add seasonal veggies. The vegetables we used in this recipe are beans capsicum carrot cabbage onion and tomato. This recipe goes perfect for the rice lover. It’s easy to cook and a quick recipe that can be served for lunch and dinner. For flavor, we used soy sauce, chili sauce, and tomato sauce for a sweet flavor.
The best rice for fried rice
Medium to long grain rice works best. Long-grain white rice and jasmine rice is perfect for fried rice, but you can make it with any kind of cooked and chilled rice. Fried rice is best made with day-old rice. We used freshly cooked rice and spread it on a plate And let it dry out for an hour.
This dish is stuffed full of healthy fiber, protein good fat, good carbs and loaded with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants. One serving of vegetable fried rice gives 202 calories.

Ingredients
2 cup Rice
1 tbsp Oil
1 Onion finely chopped
1 Tomato finely chopped
¼ Cup Beans chopped chopped
¼ Capsicum finely chopped
1 Carrot finely chopped
½ cup Cabbage finely chopped
2 tsp Soy sauce
2 tbsp Chilli sauce
1 tbsp Tomato sauce
A pinch of Black pepper powder
Salt to taste
Directions
- Wash a cup of rice until u get clear water. And soak in enough water for 30 minutes. 4 cups of water in a pan add rice in boiling water and salt to taste and a tbsp of oil and mix wwell3. Cook on a medium flame for 8- 10 minutes don’t overcook the rice unless they will turn soft and mushy.
- keep all the vegetables finely chopped and ready.
- Heat oil in a kadhai add finely chopped garlic for 1 minutes and add finely chopped onion
- Further add more vegetables of your choice like tomato, carrot, capsicum, beans, cabbage and salt to taste and stir fry on high flame without overcooking vegetables.
- Now add 2 tbsp soya sauce, 2 tbsp of chilli sauce and if you want you can white vinegar as well. Stir fry until they combined well.
- On high flame add cooked rice and Stir fry by mixing well. Make sure rice should not be broken.
- Your fried rice is ready to serve hot.

Notes
- Use long grain basmati rice for this recipe and For healthier twist add cooked brown rice instead of white rice
- Stir fry the vegetables before adding rice don’t overcook the vegetables it has to be crunchy and hold it’s shape.
- For more healthy options you can add paneer, tofu, and soya chunks.
